🛑✋ Hold your Doogie Howser jokes please.
Last week, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia announced a partnership with Mastery Schools to launch a healthcare-focused high school in the city of brotherly love.
And it’s one of many that are planned across the country, with others coming soon to:

👉 What’s a healthcare high school?
In addition to a robust high school curriculum, these schools plan to offer work-based learning, resulting in students graduating not only with a high school diploma, but also valuable industry certifications.
👉 How is this going down?
This is a nationwide public and charter school initiative, funded in part by Bloomberg Philanthropies to the tune of $250 million. The Philadelphia school will open in the fall of 2025.
👉 Why do I love this?
You can’t beat hands-on learning, and healthcare is useful for everyone to learn about, regardless of career ambitions.
