⚡️ 3 tutorials

🚀 3 AI tools to boost your teen’s productivity

💡 Setting kids up for success can be fun, too

Summer is in full swing. It’s the season of sun, swimming, and… the dreaded “summer slide,” where kids forget up to 40% of what they learned during the school year.

Parents, we know you want to do everything you can to help your kids be successful. And we also know that you want your kids to truly enjoy their summer break (and the last thing you want to do is nag them to study all summer).

Is it possible to do both — set your kids up for success AND let them have fun?

We think so — because we think that the skills your kids need to be successful are fun and exciting ways to spend the summer, too.

Here are 4 (fun!) things you can do with your kids over the summer to help them hit the ground running next school year:

  1. Help them master ChatGPT.

Have them try playing a ChatGPT game to tune up their prompt writing skills.

Or encourage them to build their own text-based game or 3D video game on ChatGPT for their friends to play — each of the games linked above were built by students!

The possibilities are endless with AI, and the sooner kids know about how to use it wisely, the better! Summer is a great time to learn about AI tools and build something powerful with them.

  1. Find a passion or cause to get them involved with.

During the school year, it’s easy to let our kids get focused only on the activities they’re doing in school.

In other words, our kids’ world shrinks to the size of their school’s walls!

During the summer, we have the chance to help our kids expand their scope and take in the world around them. What are the issues they care the most about? What sets them on fire? And what do they want to do about it?

Helping kids discover their passion is a great way for them to get ahead this summer. We love working with kids to help them define their purpose — check out these amazing vision and purpose statements kids wrote for themselves.

  1. Have them do something unique — like launching a business or building an audience.

Summer is the time to get your kid do something that will help them stand out from the crowd.

Everyone is getting good grades and doing impressive extracurriculars, but few kids have their own company or over 100K followers on social media.

Whether your kid wants to start a business or build an audience (or both!), doing something unique will set them leagues ahead of their peers.

  1. Help them establish self-care routines to avoid burnout.

During the summer, there’s a lot less on our kids’ plates. That makes this the perfect time for them to learn how to set up routines and strategies that will help them cope with stress in healthy ways come next school year.

Have them try out a variety of different tools and find what works best for them — do they like exercise, meditation, aromatherapy, journaling?

Starting a self-care habit now ensures that our kids will be able to be at their best during the rest of the year — and for the rest of their lives!
