THESE KIDS ROCK

And the winners areā¦ š
Four weeks ago, Rohan R, Rohan G, Tristan, Donovan, and Hasini didnāt even know each other.
Like high schoolers all over the country, they were wrapping up their school year and preparing for the summer.
Except their summer plans included Prequel BETA Camp. š
And on Tuesday, they were one of three finalist teams competing for a $10k investment in their new startup, LinkUp.
LinkUp is a ācommunity platform for teens, designed to foster teamwork, accountability, and a sense of belonging through structured, in-person physical activities and events.ā
These kids conceived the idea, created a business plan, procured partners (including Life Time Fitness), and delivered programming resulting in over $2k in revenueā

In their presentation, they were able to clearly articulate their:
Current traction
Market demand
And future plans for their already thriving business, culminating in an estimated $100k in revenue over the next 12 months. š¤
Competition was tough, with the top 3 teams earning a combined $9k+ in revenue over the last month, but LinkUp edged out the other finalists SynapseHub and Poppy to win a $10k non-equity seed investment. š
With that investment, they plan to partner with more companies, develop a custom app, and ālead a movement that inspires teens to live healthier and more fulfilling lives.ā
The first summer cohort of Prequel BETA Camp earned over $20k in four weeks, and the second cohort is already underway!
Kids are capable of far more than we give them credit for.
This is proof. š
Congratulations to the LinkUp team, and all of the other Prequel BETA Camp finalists and graduates! šļø

š§ Another argument in favor of AI in the classroom: Why some believe there is far more opportunity than risk with using AI to test our kids.
šļøRelocation remorse: If you move a lot with your family, you may want to pay special attention to your kidās mental health.
ā±ļø Wow, thatās fast: The Rubikās Cube just turned 50, and one teen can solve it in under six seconds.
š§ Have a listen: Why you should lean into audio books and away from reading on screens with your kids.
š¤ Nifty Swiftie: Your daughterās Taylor Swift obsession could be boosting her mental health. And yes, there is actual science.
