These 7 teens built a business in a weekend — and it’s going to help your kid get into an Ivy League school
Last month, seven Prequel students retreated down to sunny Mexico for the weekend with a single goal:
To launch a workshop that gives high schoolers a 75% chance of being admitted into an Ivy League school.
They achieved more in two days than most corporate teams achieve in months.
I know I sound like a broken record when I say that kids are capable of far more than we give them credit for, but this proves it.
A gorgeous setting for a productive weekend!
Here’s what they accomplished in a weekend. 👇
The big idea
The chance of being accepted into an Ivy League school is 4%.
That goes up to a shocking 75%+ if you happen to be an Olympian.
Are Olympains smarter than the rest of us? Sure, they’re good at running really fast and jumping really high (among other incredible athletic feats), but why are they accepted to top schools at such a dramatically higher rate?
These kids set out to answer that question and develop a formula that can give non-Olympians the same chance of success.
Nothing beats IRL collaboration.
First, they all dove into research, compiling what’s known as a “second brain” (100+ pages) so they could easily conjure up relevant details as they worked through the development process.
Oh, and because they’re rockstars, they also used their second brain to:
Train an AI chatbot for further research and insights.
Create a detailed 30–page book outline on how to get into an Ivy league school (which will be published very soon — stay tuned!).
Overachievers. 😜
Getting it right
Once they understood the formula for achieving Ivy League admittance (something they’ve dubbed a “spike”), it was time to develop the core product.
They decided on a four-session interactive workshop for high school freshmen.
Grace taking the lead on a brainstorming session.
Why freshmen?
Because Olympians don’t decide to compete one day, and earn a place at the Olympics the next.
You gotta start early.
They developed a full curriculum, complete with presentations, breakout sessions, exercises, and even comprehension tests.
Oh, and they timed it to the minute. So the next time you're in a meeting that’s running long, remind your boss that there are seven teenagers in Mexico who are better at time management. 🤷
Getting it seen
A program like this is a life-changer for high school freshmen who dream of attending an Ivy League school.
But they won’t change any lives if nobody knows it exists.
To solve that problem, they developed a full marketing plan with tactics for getting the program in front of both parents and kids, and designed a hugely impactful landing page.

Then they hopped on social media.
Their Instagram loaded up 4k views in a matter of days, and now stands at nearly 10k followers.
On TikTok, their videos have received 870k+ views.
Holy shiz. I’m gonna hire these kids to take over my marketing. 🤯
Getting it done
Before leaving Mexico, it was important for the group to develop a bulletproof onward plan.
After all, this is a side gig for these kids — they’re already busy on projects like building a safe teen dating app and writing a Broadway musical.
And, um, school. 🤷
They knew they would need a CEO to take the project across the finish line.
So they outlined a thoughtful succession plan detailing how they propose the project would move forward (with them sitting on the Board of Directors, of course), and drafted a memorandum for the new CEO.
These are high school students.
These kids aren’t future business leaders — they’re current business leaders.
Of course — with this group, they didn’t waste any time in finding their new CEO, enlisting another Prequel student for the role within days of returning home from Mexico.
Today, the project:
Will launch a course in the next month
Will publish a book in the next three weeks
Currently has more than 500 people on the waitlist
Joshua, the new CEO, is busy lending credibility to the course through partnerships with professors and business leaders like Angelina Lawton.
Major kudos to Anaiah, Caleb, Elle, Grace, Hugo, Kate, and Maddie for their incredible weekend achievement!
